A beautiful hand carved decoy of what is believed to be an Eider Duck, circa 1900-1920.
The decoy has most of its original paint and is excellent condition for its age. Sourced is Scotland but probably North American/Canadian in origin. The Eider is the UK's largest and fastest flying duck, common in coastal waters but rarely seen inland.
